Academic Year Tuition Info
CAPA Tuition for academic year classes (36 weeks total)
For the academic year (Fall/Winter/Spring), CAPA divides the annual tuition for our 36 weeks of classes during the school year into ten equal monthly payments, which we bill to your account on or about the 9th of every month (August through May) to the credit card on file. Some months have more classes than others, but regardless of the month, you only pay for 36 weeks of actual classes in ten equal monthly installments.
CAPA tuition is calculated on an hourly basis based on how many class hours per week for which your family is registered.
See the bottom of this page for a detailed schedule of monthly fees by total class hours.
When you register at CAPA, students typically register for the entire academic year with their diligent work culminating in the June Show. We do have the opportunity for new students to register mid-year in late December or January who will also participate in the June Show.
FAMILY DISCOUNT: If more than one student is enrolled in a family, the total hours danced per week are used to compute your tuition fees, resulting in a family discount once the total hours of all students is more than 6 hours per week.
Once your class registration has been reviewed and approved by CAPA management, your credit card will be charged tuition for the first month, taking into account a volume discount if you or your family are registered for more than 6 class hours per week.
DROPPING / ADDING CLASSES: Should you wish to drop a class, you simply need to give us 30 days notice in writing to the capa@capadance.net email address, after which charges for the dropped class will not be made. Additions to your registration can be made online via the CAPA portal, however you must email us to request to transfer or drop a class.
MISSED AND MAKE-UP CLASSES: We do not offer refunds for missed classes. However, a student can take a make-up class within a month of the missed class. Make-ups can be taken at their current technique level, or at one level down for all genres. You may take up to two (2) make up classes between August and December, three (3) make up classes between January and June and two (2) make up classes during Summer Session (June/July). You do not need to schedule these in advance, just come and let the teacher know you are there for a make-up.
Make-ups are not available for missed ensemble, ballet company, or production classes. If a student takes a technique class as a make-up, they need to tell the teacher that it is a make-up, and the student will be noted in the make-up records.
NO REFUNDS are allowed for missed, excused or dropped classes.

Summer Tuition Info
For CAPA’s summer classes we have an 8-week session. Summer classes are required for new and current Ensemble, Production and Ballet Company students with specific classes and hours mandated to be eligible for these programs. We strongly recommend all technique students take summer classes as well. Please see critical information on CAPA’s Summer Session in the Programs tab. CAPA charges a registration fee of $50 per session per student. Please see above policies for dropping/adding classes, missed and make-up classes, and CAPA’s refund policy.
For summer tuition, we have two plans for the convenience of families. We have a “monthly” rate based on weekly hours in a 4-week billing term (two per summer) and a summer unlimited pass option (8 week term) only for Ensemble and Ballet Company families. Both options offer pre-calculated volume discounts on total number of hours per week CAPA students dance. Larger volume discounts are available in the unlimited pass option for students who are using CAPA’s summer program as an intensive dance experience. Please see the tuition schedule below.
