CAPA Classes
Regular Classes (7years old+) are offered in
Ballet – Jazz – Tap – Pointe – Hip Hop - Pilates
The Younger Dancer
· Tiny Dancer (Creative Movement and Music)
• Intro. To Dance (Tap and Creative Movement)
• Beginning Dance (Tap and Pre-Ballet)
• Young Dancer (Tap and Ballet)
Age minimums for the Younger Dancer (as of Sept)
• Tiny Dancer 2 years, 9 months
· Intro. to Dance 3 years, 9 Months
• Beginning Dance Kindergarten or 1 yr Intro
• Young Dancer 1st Grade or 1 yr Beg. Dance
Regular Class Levels:
Level 1 is intended for age 7 and up (except for Hip-Hop which begins with Beginning Hip-Hop at age 9). Classes are intended to encompass a minimum of one or two years per level. Age requirements are always approximate, as physical skills and development vary widely. Placement is always at the director’s discretion and is selected to benefit the dancer.
Ensembles & Ballet Companies
THERE ARE TRADITIONAL ENSEMBLES, PRODUCTION ENSEMBLES, TAP ENSEMBLES & BALLET COMPANIES.
Membership in one of our elite ENSEMBLES or BALLET COMPANIES gives the dancer the opportunity of performing in our NUTCRACKER or HOLIDAY CONCERTO, optional travel with CAPA, special local performances and the chance to compete with the top dancers from the region, state and nation. CAPA’s ensembles have even traveled abroad to Mexico, Europe, Japan, Australia and China as well as around the USA to New York, New Orleans, Disneyland, Disneyworld and more. which serve as the performance vehicles for our full range curriculum. All ensembles and companies have special requirements that must be met. Summer classes are required.
Solo or Duo/Trio Classes and/or Coaching:
To arrange for coaching or special routines, contact the teacher directly or the office. In addition, students wishing to increase skill level may arrange for tutoring by approved Student Assistants. ALL PAYMENTS FOR THESE CLASSES MUST BE MADE DIRECTLY TO CAPA.
