Tuition & Payment Policy
TUITION AND PAYMENT POLICY

*CAPA operates by a special “dance calendar,” not the regular calendar, meaning a “4 Week Dance Month.”  Each of our 3 Trimesters are 2 dance weeks long, or 3 Dance Months, plus a separate Summer Session. Holidays are posted on the schedule and are not counted in the payment calculations.  In order to have equal classes for all days of the week, classes ARE held on most Monday Holidays with the exception of Labor Day, which we make up Thanksgiving week.

* CAPA does not Bill. It is your responsibility to make payments by the due date. Please refer to the Tuition Page for payment amounts and due dates. Late fees will be assessed for  late payments.

*Summer Session participation requires the purchase of Class Cards (punch cards) in order to take class.  These must be purchased in advance.  Cards may be kept in a file on the Front Desk to avoid forgotten cards. No student will be admitted to class without presenting a Class Card to the teacher.

*Registration Forms must be turned in no later than noon for the first day of the Trimester, and at least one day in advance for all other days for your student to be listed on the roll sheet.
Students not registered and therefore not listed on the roll sheet will pay the per class rate in order to participate in class.  This rate will be charged for all classes taken but not registered.
*If a student is not registered, the student must give the teacher a check for the cost of that class ($14 per hour), made out to CAPA, in order to take class.  Cash is acceptable, but for our records, we prefer checks.  Students paying the per-class rate will be noted on a separate sheet in the roll book.

*Students paying by the trimester, rather than the four-week period, will receive a discount.  Intention to pay by the trimester must be declared during the first week of the Trimester, and full payment for that trimester must be received by the end of that week in order to receive the discount. It is strongly recommended that you use the trimester payment option.

NO REFUNDS are allowed for missed, excused or dropped classes.
A $20 fee will be charged for returned checks.
If more than one student is enrolled in a family, the totals hours danced are used to compute your tuition fees, resulting in a “family” discount.

Summer Punch card balances may not be transferred to normal year tuition.

Please use a new registration form for ANY AND ALL changes to your enrollment and be sure to note the class code # on the form.
Make-ups must be taken within one month of the missed class or classes.
Classes in which a student is currently enrolled may not be used for make-ups.
Missed/dropped classes may not be used for tuition credit.
If a student takes a technique class as a make-up, she/he needs to tell the teacher that it is a make-up, and the student will be noted in the Make-up Records.

There are no make-up classes or credits for Ensemble or Company level classes.
