2010-11 Registration Information


Registration information and instructions for the year beginning August 23, 2010, are listed below. The CAPA Dance Schedule 2010-11 has been published and posted at www.capadance.net.

NOTE that there are two groups of instructions for registration depending on your status. Group One is for those that danced this summer and group two is for new students and those that did not dance this summer. This year, both groups may mail in registration and emergency data.

(If you are an Ensemble or Ballet Company dancer you will receive  placement information by August 1st in an email from Joan. If you do not receive an email, let us know.)

GROUP ONE
CAPA classes Begin Monday August 23rd for the 2010-11 School Year.
REGISTRATION FOR all STUDENTS who danced this Summer, use the information below:

Classes Begin Monday August 23RD, 2010 for the 2010-11 School Year.

*Registration can be done by mail beginning August 2nd. It is vital that we have Ensemble and Ballet Company student's registration by August 7th to give them priority in the required classes. After that cutoff, you may not get desired classes.

All Ballet Company dancers MUST take the technique class immediately before their Company Class.

*All class placements are temporary for a 4-week evaluation period to make sure all are placed correctly, both for the dancer and the group.

*Registration forms are available on this website and at CAPA. Be sure to include a good email address and the class numbers of each class you are registering for. You can find them on the schedule here on the site menu.

*An Emergency Card, must be filled out for each student and SIGNED. Even if you have a card on file, we require a new one be filled out at the beginning of each year. You may download the card from this site or pick one up at CAPA.

*You must pay in full at the time of Registration to hold your place in the classes you list. You may sign up for Trimester payments (12 dance weeks) using the Trimester column of the Tuition page on the website menu (this number gives you a 5% discount) or you can use the 4-Week Plan column. You must add a $20 costume deposit for each class. All classes are assessed this fee with the exception of those not dancing in the June Shows. Those not dancing in the June Shows include ALL Ballet Technique classes with the exception of Ballet 1 and 2 classes which do perform. This fee will be deducted from your final costume balance. Costume deposits are refundable only if CAPA is notified NO LATER than Dec. 31, 2009 that a dancer will not perform.

*CAPA's policy is that there are NO REFUNDS for any reason other than severe or prolonged illness accompanied by a letter from your physician. No refunds at all for Ensemble or Company classes. Tuition is also not transferable, nor may it be applied to classes at a later date. There are no exceptions to this policy.

*Upon registration and payment, each family commits to the policies and regulations that are posted on the CAPA website. Please check the website and your emails frequently for information. CAPA reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.

* CAPA does not bill. It is your responsibility to pay on time. Late fees will be assessed for all late payments. Payment dates and New Tuition Rates can be found on the website home page menu.

*CAPA communicates with all our families entirely by Website and Email.
Many notices are posted at CAPA, but the Internet is our main source of communication. It is your responsibility to check for all pertinent information.

Each family must register an E-mail address to which GROUP as well as individual notices can be sent. If your email address changes, it is your responsibility to let us know. Please add our email addresses to your personal address book. This will allow our group emails to be received.

Through this registration process, we are hoping to be able to assure that students registering in a timely fashion get the classes and times they want or need. In some cases, classes may be full and a dancer may need to be placed in another section of that class.


If you are in Ensemble or Ballet Company, ENSEMBLE and COMPANY PLACEMENT AND CLASS LEVEL INFORMATION WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU BY AUG 1ST.

If you would like to register in person, Doyle will be in the office Mon Aug 9, Tue Aug 10, Wed Aug 11 from 2 to 5pm to assist you. Of course we will take new registrations ongoing.

*Unless you have been contacted already, you should enroll in the next level up from last year's classes unless you feel your child would benefit from another year at the current level. Not all dancers mature at the same rate. All class placements are temporary for a 4-week evaluation period to make sure all are placed correctly.
